SourceAbled is seeking Warehouse Planner II candidates for Direct Hire on 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift, M-F with weekend work available. This is a direct hire opportunity with our major pharmaceutical client Pfizer; located on-site in Sanford, NC. Under general supervision, candidate would perform duties necessary for all aspects of transportation, warehouse activities, internal/external distribution of all shipping, sampling/inspections and receiving functions; raw material inventory management, Import/Export control, consumable and intermediate inventory control functions, and all other activities necessary for supporting and maintaining all cGMP, R&D, laboratory, and other activities at the Pfizer, Sanford facility. Accountable for Warehouse functions to ensure that all Material Supply and Warehouse operations are performed in accordance with all applicable company, department, and regulatory requirements (FDA, cGMP, EPA, TSA, FAA, etc.)


How You Will Achieve It 

  • Comply with all departmental Level III documents (SOPs) by following detailed written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks.

  • Develops and adapts new processes and CI’s for work area to improve performance and increase efficiency, consciously balancing the risk and reward trade-off

  • Designated colleague to plan, coordinate, prioritize and facilitate the work activities of the designated colleagues/work group

  • Demonstrates strong technical/functional knowledge needed to coach team members on day-to-day activities

  • Ensures timely flow of information to appropriate individuals

  • Complete TSA and DOT/IATA Hazmat internal audits in compliance with all regulatory requirements

  • Demonstrate knowledge of procedures by performing tasks and duties and maintaining detailed records in a manner compliance with cGMP requirements.

  • Perform all the following tasks in compliance with cGMP requirements and written procedures.

  • This position coordinates and performs inventory control tasks as required to support inventory control operations such as SAP orders/shipments, reviewing and approving completed forms, and other duties assigned by Management.

  • Operate fork lift or other powered or manual material handling equipment to unload and load goods through the facility.

  • Maintain the Warehouse area in accordance with prescribed security requirements, assuring only authorized personnel are provided access to the area.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and standards as relates to US Customs.

  • Participate in quarterly import entry and internal audits for the Sanford site.

  • Conduct appropriate research and investigation into any logistics issues, which may arise, and provide updates and recommendations for any contingencies, when applicable, to the Warehouse Supervisor.

  • Complete cGMP shipments for domestic and international shipments

  • Investigate and reconcile Inventory discrepancies with warehouse and external departments.

  • Comply with all TSA and FAA shipping requirements for security and hazmat regulations.

  • Complete cycle count inventory on all SAP locations in accordance with approved procedures.

  • Work with area Manager and Tech Services to assist with proposals and efforts to validate new or revised shipping containers and/or configurations.

  • Communicating daily to Import/Export Planner and site colleagues to ensure that complete part descriptions, correct HTS numbers, FDA product codes, and any other applicable documentation is provided to Customs or other governmental agency.

  • Participate in any Shipping / Receiving related investigation reports, change controls, and safety investigation reports

  • Verify transfer quantities against SAP documentation.

  • Process receipts and delivery documentation in accordance with approved procedures.

  • Move material through flow through rooms according  procedures.

  • Follow cleaning procedures for Level I and II prior to entering into flow through areas.

  • Assure all associated work areas are maintained in compliance with departmental safety, cGMP, and housekeeping policies and procedures. 

  • Perform required area cleaning tasks per prescribed procedures.

  • Participate in Regulatory and Internal cGMP audits.




  • Associate degree or higher with a minimum of 2+ years experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment or High School with 5+ years experience in warehouse/manufacturing environment.

  • Forklift operation skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Understanding of Import/Export regulations.

  • Remarkable documentation skills – ability to make legible entries on cGMP documentation

  • Good communication skills – ability to contact departments for delivery instructions.

  • Technical proficiency, including skills in use of common desktop tools (MS Word, MS, Excel, MS PowerPoint)

  • Strong Materials inventory related skills – understanding of MRP

  • Familiarity with personal computers / automated systems so the incumbent can access site systems, such as Microsoft Suite (or other site email systems), MMIMS, SAP, MES, etc.

  • Experience operating in a highly regulated and SOP driven environment.



  • Associate degree or higher and 5+ years experience and strong skillset with SAP functionality and processes, and master data management

  • Ability to work effectively in an environment of competing priorities, and ambiguity. Proven experience in providing innovative solutions to complex situations.

  • Ability to effectively train and validate individuals on complex tasks, equipment operation/maintenance, and when needed execute above their scope of responsibility.

  • Expertise in organizing receipts, BOLs, GMP Docs, etc., and the maintenance of records.




  • Ability to perform repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, reaching, and lifting/moving up to 35 pounds without assistance.

  • Ability to perform continuous standing activities.

  • Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders.

  • Ability to push / pull loads using manual or powered material handling equipment.



  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift Available

  • Must be able to wear required PPE:

    • Safety Glasses

    • Steel Toe safety shoes

    • Nitrile Gloves
